Director of Strategic Analysis
With over 30 years of experience in the field, Jeff Smith has been at the forefront of the REO Logistics growth strategy since he joined the company as Chief Financial Officer in 1991.
A thought leader within the logistics and warehousing industries with a keen eye for recognizing new trends, Jeff has returned to his financial and analytical roots as the new Director of Strategic Analysis for REO Logistics operations throughout Virginia and West Virginia. In this role he will be responsible for evaluating business opportunities, risk control and company sustainability practices.
Prior to this role, Jeff served as the President of West Virginia Operations, where he oversaw the operations and strategic growth of three out of the five companies within the corporate portfolio. In addition to his leadership with REO's West Virginia companies, he was active in the International Warehouse and Logistics Association (IWLA), the Council of Chemical Logistics Providers (CCLP) and as REO Logistics’ representative on the CKCN Community Advisory Panel.
Jeff started his career as a stockbroker for Smith Barney, Harris Upham, and prior to that as an actuarial consultant for the American Benefit Company. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Marshall University and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Duke University.

Over his career he has built a reputation for delivering innovative,
client-focused strategies that provide continuous improvement, strengthen
partnerships and improve margins, and he has a strong background in P&L
management and business development. Kevin holds a degree from the University
of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business with a focus on transportation
and logistics. He served as president of both Delta Nu Alpha and the National
Defense Transportation Association Professional Chapter.
Chief Financial Officer
Clayman Edwards has extensive previous experience serving in business growth and development on a global level. He has successfully led domestic and international companies and held a number of board positions and C-Level roles with both U.S. and worldwide corporations through leadership, business growth and development. Clayman served as the CEO of Matth. Hohner AG and the Hohner Group of companies from April 2012 until January 2015. Previously, he served as CRO and VP of Operations for Design Master Associates, Inc., and as Senior VP CCA Financial Services, Inc. Prior to Hohner, Clayman was a member of the Board of Directors of the Western Henrico Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, and was also an active member of the National Association of Music Merchants and the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica. He has supported a variety of charities, including the American Cancer Society, the YMCA, the Greater Richmond ARC and Harmonikids. Clayman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia, as well as an M.B.A. in General Management from the College of William and Mary.
Vice President of Warehousing and Toll Services
Carl Vance joined REO Logistics in 1999 following a 15 year career in the transportation industry. Prior to joining REO Logistics, Carl served as General Manager of a highly successful truck leasing operation in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio.
In his role as Vice President for Warehousing and Toll Services, Carl draws upon his deep roots in transportation services and operations to help REO's Warehousing, Transportation, and Processing businesses provide exceptional and innovative customer solutions throughout the state.
A native of Huntington, West Virginia, Carl sits on the West Virginia Manufacturers Association Board of Directors and is a member of the Chemical Industrial Council. Carl has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Marshall University.
Corporate Human Resources Director
A Human Resources executive with more than 30 years of experience, and with deep ties to the Waynesboro, VA community, Sue joined REO Logistics in February 2014 as the Corporate Human Resources Director. She brings to
the company extensive experience managing employee relations, organizational development, talent acquisition, staff education, leadership training, and the implementation of benefits and compensation programs. A lifelong
learner, Sue is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Group Benefits Associate (GBA), Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) and Six Sigma.
